Job Description:
Maintain Windows 2000 Domain including Windows XP desktops and Windows 2000 servers to include IIS 5.0, Exchange 5.5, SQL 7.0 and Spam filter. Hardware and software support for Windows XP/2000 servers. Work Schedule: M-F: 8-5 is typical. On call as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintain support of Microsoft XP clients and Windows 2000 servers.
- Maintain server communication operations between web server sites.
- Ensure optimization and tuning of server, file systems, capacity planning and appropriate replication.
- Maintain and administer file level backups and recovery procedures.
- Administration and support of network including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and Spam filter.
- Provide OS and anti virus updates and management.
- Recommends and implements modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware for servers and workstations.
- Monitors and proactively responds to inbound and outbound system situations.
- Troubleshooting connectivity related to distributed systems and host environments.
- Firewall experience a major plus.
Qualifications & Experience:
Windows and/or MCSE certifications preferred but not required
2+ years experience with Windows 2000 Server
2+ years practical application of TCP/IP, DNS and Spam filter
Specialized:
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills.
Solid project management skills & proven ability to work on projects and support clients either individually or on a team.
Located in walking distance to UTA. Perfect job for someone with a few years of experience wanting to learn to run their own Microsoft shop.

Short Description: Customer Account Advocate
Job Summary: Has responsibility to assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of compliance with Textron global privacy and security policies, working with cross-functional Textron teams, consisting of representatives from Legal, Compliance, HR, Audit and Textron identified service providers as required. Provides technical guidance and training to information “owners”, corporate security employees, and IT associates. Actively participate on the IT Risk Management team to ensure appropriate security controls are in force throughout the enterprise and work on identified elements to support strategic security objectives across the enterprise. Works with Textron Information Services (TIS) management team and Business Unit leaders to determine acceptable levels of risk for the enterprise.
Responsibilities to Include:
Performs security testing on operating systems, networks, and database products.
- Conducts risk assessments
- Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
- Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research
- Aids in drafting enterprise wide policies and consulting with business units on security solutions
- Prepares security reports as required
- Design and implement network security solutions and processes for the protection of information assets and to minimize security risks to the company wired and wireless networks
- Interface with technical individuals and other internal/external groups for assisting with existing security issues and new security opportunities arising as a result of technological advances in security and newly adapted security best practices
- Report project status as well as develop solution proposals
- Manage a small security project independently, as well as develop solution proposals
- Research, evaluate, recommend and document security products with the ability to design specific security solutions at the lowest cost
- Monitor computing resources for evidence of compromise and report security incidents
- Respond to, and report on, IT security incidents, providing initial assessment of impact severity and types of incidents being addressed
- Function as a member of the Computer Incident Response Team
- Analyze compromised computing resources of routine to moderate complexity
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies for threat reduction based on monitoring of IT systems
- Research, analyze, design, test and implement new or vendor supplied security software solutions
- Provide up to date documentation and procedures on security software product administration
- Provide guidance for enterprise patching to ensure efficacy of patching procedures and processes
- Assist in the development of technical security standards to support policies, including creating, coordinating and monitoring standards and incident investigation procedures
- Study and maintain current knowledge of security issues
Technical Skills:
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- Possess knowledge of information security fundamentals, technologies, policies and best practices
- Experience with LAN/WAN design and engineering, and networking sniffing and probing tools preferred
- Experience with computer forensics, security auditing, security investigations, enterprise identity management, and large-scale automated security event management preferred
- Ability to understand the balance between security strengths and practical application
- Fundamental knowledge of IP based applications (WWW, SMTP, DNS, SNMP, etc.)
Non Technical Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
License and Certification Requirements: Actively seeking or possesses relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA)
